Why Testing Is Important

Ensuring the highest possible quality of life for your puppy is important.  We test all of our dogs before we ever breed them to ensure they are free from any genetic predisposition.  As our standard we test both hips and elbows through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA).  We also test for Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA).

In addition each of our dogs is annually tested by (CERF).

What Does All Of This Testing Do?

Testing helps to limit chances of genetic issues, which lead to a poor quality of life for the dog and heartache for the owner.  While no one can promise that every puppy is perfect, testing certainly increases the overall health of the puppy. We strive for the very best and do all we can to ensure the healthiest possible puppy.
